What is a channel?
Channels are the building blocks of your Kamithra workspace.
Channels organize your work
A channel is a dedicated space for a specific topic, project, or team. All messages, files, and threads within a channel are visible to everyone who is part of that channel. Channels keep conversations organized so your team can find the right discussion without sifting through noise.
Default channels
Every workspace starts with two channels:
- 1#general — For workspace-wide announcements and conversations
- 2#random — For casual, off-topic chat
Default channels are created automatically when the workspace is set up.
Finding and joining channels
All channels in your workspace are listed in the left sidebar. You can search for channels by name using the search bar at the top of the channel list.
