Share files in a channel
Upload and share files with your team directly in your conversations.
Upload a file
To share a file, click the paperclip icon in the message composer. Select the file from your device, add an optional message, and send it. The file will be attached to your message in the channel.
Supported file types
You can upload the following file types:
- 1Images — JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- 2Documents — PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT
- 3Spreadsheets — XLS, XLSX
- 4Archives — ZIP
- 5Design files — FIG, Sketch
The maximum file size is 10MB per file.
Viewing files
Image files are displayed inline in the conversation as previews. Other file types show a download link that teammates can click to save the file.
